
The Hackney Wick Festival is a local festival organized by the community in collaboration with [SPACE]. It took place for the first time on the 27th of September 2008 on the village green in Hackney Wick. The festival brought together a wide variety of events and exhibitis. It included the walks, talks, tours, a tea dance, art installations, boxing, open studios, school fairs, a boulder, gardening, Eton Manor Boys Club as well as the Wick Curiosity Shop. The Festival theme was 'local produce' and celebrated the lives and the life in Hackney Wick.
