Trespassing the Olympic Site is an ongoing project initiated in response to the compulsory purchase of the area between Hackney Wick and Stratford. It comprises a series of performances without audience responding to the shifting cast of objects that inhabit this evolving wasteland.

The work takes place at night and is documented in long exposure digital stills, pitting a solitary human figure against a landscape of post-industrial demolition. Each image depicts an improvised action for camera, at once reminiscent of Swampy-era anti-road protest footage and at the same time searching for tactile solace in this increasingly inhospitable terrain: hugging diggers, snuggling in rubble, awestruck by destruction. The project aims to question the reality of 'public ownership' in a privatised world and challenges superficial interpretations of 'transparency' and 'community consultation'.
